Cookie Policy
This site uses one strictly technical item — to remember that you have seen the cookie notice. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies, and similar technologies such as a browser's local storage, are small pieces of data that a website can store in your browser. They can be used for many things — from remembering a simple preference to tracking behaviour across sites. This site uses them only for the first, harmless purpose.
2. What this site uses
We use a single technical item, stored in your browser's local storage, with no expiry-based tracking and no personal data:
- cdw_cookies_ok — remembers whether you clicked "Accept" or "Decline" on the cookie notice, so the banner does not appear on every page. It stores only the value "yes" or "no". It is set only after you interact with the banner.
That is the only item we set. We use no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking of any kind.
3. Consent
Because the only item we store is strictly necessary for a basic preference (remembering your own choice about the notice) and is not used for tracking, it does not require prior consent under the ePrivacy rules. The banner is provided for transparency. Choosing "Decline" simply records that choice and hides the banner; the site works exactly the same either way.
4. Third-party content
The site loads a web-font stylesheet from Google Fonts to display its typefaces; if your browser blocks it, the site falls back to standard system fonts and remains fully usable. Links to official castle websites and to Wikimedia Commons lead to external sites that have their own cookie policies, which we do not control.
5. How to remove it
You can delete the stored item at any time by clearing your browser's site data / local storage for castles-denmark.world, or by using private/incognito browsing. After clearing it, the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit.
6. More information
For how we handle data in general, see our Privacy Policy. Questions are welcome at [email protected].
